What did they say?? Did they shed any interesting light on whether they had any thoughts or plans for this crush?

LOL, are you giving in to that "stubborn impulse"? Or just eager to close up the plot hole?

I can't tell the difference between Bryan and Mike's voices, and this transcript is probably not 100% precise (it omits some "ums" and "ya knows"), but it was something like this:

"So maybe there's some inklings of some shipping here."
"Yeah, there's a little Toph/Sokka something going on there, but...you know, it's also a little Goonies"
"You're right."
*they snigger*

I think he meant the falling rocks were like the obstacles the kids in Goonies face. They may have been poking fun at paying too much attention to the shipping at the expense of the plot/action, etc. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it. It struck me as being like the featurette where they answer a question about Zutara be redirecting to Appa/Momo.

I don't consider myself that much of an Appaphile or anything, but the idea that he might be dead or never return as genuinely upsetting to me. I took it as a sign of how much I had started to care about the characters and their world.

Yes! That's it exactly.

I thought it was just like Zuko to sort of show little to no interest in a sweet, perky, outgoing, conventionally pretty girl who basically throws herself at him.

Hee. Well, I admit I did sort of wish he would go for a girl like that. But I see now he needed something quite different.

I can't help but think, when watching the conversation with Long Feng in the library, that the kids should have just taken their plan to one of the Earth Kingdom generals instead. Ah well. I suppose that would have short-circuited the plot.

Yeah, but you have to remember these are pretty honest kids. They haven't dealt with much in the way of government or politics. I doubt they'd expect or know how to deal with something like what happens in Ba Sing Se. The fact that kids that age deal so well with all that they do is pretty amazing too.

Heh, I'm not much of a Tokka shipper, I was just curious about an apparent plot strand being introduced that went unresolved. It does seem that Bryke love to make fun of anyone paying any attention to shipping whatsoever. I don't particularly expect creators to take shipping as seriously as fans do, but generally I expect that when an apparent clue to a plot development occurs, it is significant and will lead somewhere. But these guys seem to just kind of throw things in there and not worry about it.
