I don't have any money...

...but at least I have dreams. So, for when my ship comes in:

Recommend one thing you think I should add to my Amazon.com wish list. It can be a book, a CD, a DVD, a book on tape--whatever. Oh, and be sure and tell me why you think I would like it.

Thanks.

Joie

P.S. (This post was partly inspired by pocket_owl's last one.)

Current Mood: hopeful dreamy

Mmm...yeah, I like that. I went ahead and added the one that has "Space Lion" on it.

This is really hard. I'll keep thinking about it though (:

Well, The Princess Bride, the book, comes immediately to the top of my mind, but that's probably because I just lent out my copy of said book to a good friend who hadn't yet read it. If you have it already, let me know and I'll try to think of something else.

And why? Dude, this book has everything. Princes, princesses, adventure, rodents of unusual size, lots of hats, pirates, and even Twu Wuv. The book is more cynical than the movie, but it is utterly hilarious.

I already have, and have read, The Princess Bride. I agree it's a good one! If you have something else you'd like to suggest, please do.

Now that I've heard it (my mom just got it at wallyworld)
SecretGarden: Dreamcatcher (CD)

tis quite purty, all but the last two tracks (one of which is them giving someone else a short bit of airtime) ... and there's 19 tracks overall.

Hmm...I wasn't really impressed with the clips on amazon.com, but they don't necessarily always choose the best bits. So I think I would have to hear more of it to tell whether it's something I'd like. However, this reminds me to add Loreena McKennitt.

you could try to listen to the demos on iTunes music store, while perhaps not buying there (not my preference) it's still the best place I've found for listening to pieces of things.

I suggest the Order of the Pheonix audio book on a twenty disc set, it's expensive (which is why I don't have it), but I'm told it's worth it. I'm also told that on both versions ( Steven Fry and Jim Dale), Hermione seems to be happy about her perfume *gasp*. ;)

Don't forget to come visit the GS for the 100th thread:http://www.fictionalley.org/fictionalleypark/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=1240279#post1240279

See you there!

I've already got it! Well, I have the Jim Dale version. I hear some people like Stephen Fry better.

Do you have anything else to suggest?
