Picspam - MegaCon and Tanya's wedding

Here are some more pictures of MegaCon:

Vanessa fixing my hair before the judging:

A nice, thoughtful pic--shows off the hairstyle:

A couple of full length shots, taken while waiting to be judged:

Here're some shots of me on the runway during the evening cosplay show (Mark didn't get any good shots, but Vanessa hunted some down from various websites where MegaCon pics were posted):

I asked to take pictures with any other Inuyasha characters I saw on the floor. Here's one with my alter ego, Sango in her battle outfit (with a really cool Hraikotsu--the boomerang-type weapon she carries):

With Kagome:

With Miroku:

With a bunch of Inuyasha characters (Left to right: Seshomaru, Miroku, Shippo):

Here are pics of two different girls dressed as Tohru, the main character in Fruits Basket. I thought both were cute, but I especially liked how the second had plushies of Kyo and Yuki:

This one is of Vanessa and a girl dressed as Sailor Pluto:

One of the award winners of the night was this pair of Final Fantasy characters, who were also friendly to Vanessa and me backstage—we cheered a lot when they won:

And I've got a selection of pics from Tanya's wedding on March 4, too:

I was asked to sing a song during the ceremony:

These were taken just as they were about to exit after the ceremony (I had just handed her back her bouquet); I like how everyone is smiling:

Lots of people complimented the bridesmaids’ dresses:

Of course, Tanya was the most beautiful—her dress was gorgeous, both front and back:

Some cute pics of the bride and groom:

Dad took some cool close-ups of a tulip…

…some wedding favors with the bride and groom’s initials…

…and a really nifty configuration on the food table—a ceramic swan’s back decorated with ornately cut radishes, carrots, and lettuce:

Since Kent is a blacksmith, the delicious chocolate amaretto groom’s cake, made by Mama Kay (the mother of springdove aka Kristi aka the lovely redheaded bridesmaid pictured above), was shaped like an anvil:

Since that corner of the reception hall was crowded during the cake cutting, my family hid out behind the food table:

Vanessa was behind the camera for most of these pics, but here’s one of her, plus one of Mark with his other love—his guitar ;) :

Granny is hard to pin down with the camera, but someone (Mark, I think) managed to get a good one of her:

Not very many people danced, but you can see that I was among them. Alyssa, her daughter Kira, Mark, Vanessa (not pictured because she’s behind the camera again), and Kristi joined in, too:

Mark took both Vanessa and me out for a turn of swing dancing when appropriate songs came on:

Vanessa thinks Alyssa looks a lot like the actress who played Susan in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe:

This is ostensibly a pic of Tanya’s dad, but really, I think either Mark or Vanessa was doing me a favor and getting a pic of the guy on the left, an old friend of Tanya’s whom I think is, really, really cute:

This last one is the line up to hose the bride and groom down with wedding bubbles as they take off on their honeymoon :D :

It was a beautiful wedding.

Tanya just called me yesterday to say she was back from her honeymoon, had a great time, and was busy packing for their move to North Carolina on the 30th.

Vanessa and I are going to another, smaller anime con in Daytona tomorrow. :D I am on such an anime high right now--I got my boxed DVD set of Fruits Basket in the mail yesterday. Yay!

Oh, and happy St. Patrick's Day!

The pictures of you on the runway are awesome! And I love the wedding pics. The bridesmaids dresses are so pretty, and I love the tulip bouquets. The guy on the left is very cute.

Have fun at the con!

Someone looks like she enjoyed herself on the runway ;)
and you're dedication to cosplay may just get me into anime again XP

As for you at the wedding, singing, dancing, anvil cakes... I'll bet someone's gettingideas for her own eventual wedding.

You look great in both cases and thanx for sharing, still gonna miss you at Lumos though :(

Cheers
