Easter Medley 2006

To see the original Easter Medley, go here

This is my addition for this year:

He Still Moves Stones by Max Lucado brought me a lot of comfort during a bit of a dark time for me, during my junior year in college. For some reason, I can't find my copy of the book, so the best I can do is send you to its page at Amazon.com, and suggest you "Search Inside This Book", using the random feature until you get something in the p. 37-44 range, which is my favorite chapter, and the one that deals most directly with the resurrection.

Now it's your turn. Please comment with a song, a passage, a scripture, a story, or a memory to celebrate Easter. Sing with me!

Joie

My story

Over the past 48 hours, I have become increasingly depressed, mostly over uncertainty about my future and the prospect of never living in my parent's house again. I skipped the sunrise service this morning, and didn't glean much from the contemporary service at 9:45, where I was running the sound board.

But my folks came to visit this afternoon, and it was Good. :cD I'm better, now.

Re: My story

Yeah, I saw your entry about some of that. I remember getting really moody around the time I graduated, both from high school and from college, for similar reasons. *hugs* Hang in there.

i started it...

so i guess i have to add. :)

"No One Like You" by BarlowGirl

You are more beautiful than anyone ever
Everyday You're the same; You never change, no never
And how can I ever deny the love of my Savior?
You are to me everything, all I need, forever

How could You be so good?

There is no one like You
There has never, ever been anyone like You

Everywhere You are there,
earth or air surrounding
I'm not along, the heavens sing along
My God You're so astounding

How could you be so good to me
Eternally I believe that
There is no one like You
There has never, ever been anyone like You

We're not alone, so sing along
Sing along...

and then one that was in my head in church yesterday (i sang it in church choir in middle school). the reason it popped into my head is because the pastor was talking about how the earth rejoiced and became greener when the Lord arose. :D

"Let All People Praise the Lord"
As long as there are voices, and as long as people sing
There will always be a song to praise the Lord
For if we keep our silence then the rocks will all cry out
Shouting praise to Him who lives forevermore

So let the people praise, sing an alleluia
Let each voice be raised, giving praise to God on high
Let the courts of God echo adoration
Alleluia, let all people praise the Lord.

Let all people praise the Lord. :)
